Charles Robert Larsen, 60, of Larchwood, IA, passed away from complications of cancer on October 4th, 2017 surrounded by his family. Charlie was born January 14, 1957 to Gene and Bettie (Jones) Larsen in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, the oldest son of 5 children. He graduated from Brandon Valley High School in 1975 and served four years in the U.S. Navy on the USS Biddle. Charlie had an entrepreneurial spirit and co-founded Farm Country Trader and County-Wide Directory. Faith, family and friends his focus, Charlie had a servants’ heart and was always willing to provide a helping hand. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, whether that was fishing for Walleye or taking an evening drive down a country road with his trusted four-legged companion, Dodger. Above all, Charlie cherished spending time with his family and friends, making them laugh. Charlie is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Lisa Larsen (Stensland); four children, Tanner Larsen and his wife Lacey, Lance Schreurs and his wife Annie, Luke Larsen, and Erin Larsen; 5 grandchildren, Alexis, Landon, Ryland, Breckyn and Colin; his parents Gene and Bettie Larsen; four siblings, Debbie Kleeman and her husband Joe, Kristi Lloyd and her husband Joe, David Larsen, and Lisa Thomas and her husband Chris; extended family Devon and Amanda McMartin, their children Addison and Oliver; the County-Wide family; as well as a multitude of loving nieces, nephews, friends and relatives. Family, friends, and others whose lives Charlie touched are invited to a visitation on Sunday, October 8th from 5 pm - 7 pm at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 2065 Birch Ave, Inwood, IA 51240. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Monday, October 9th at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church with burial to follow at the church cemetery with military honors.
