Phillip Calzo

Phillip Calzo, 64, died Monday, January 10, 2011 at his home. Funeral services will be at 10:30am Thursday, January 13, 2011 at the Hofmeister-Jones Funeral Chapel, Marion. Visitation with family present will be from 6-8:00pm Wednesday. Phillip Michael Calzo was born on January 4, 1947 at Youngstown, OH to Felix and Lila Jane (Campbell) Calzo. He grew up at Tucson, AZ and then lived in Anaheim, CA before moving to South Dakota in 1979. In 1982 he moved to Marion where he was employed as an ASE and GMC Certified Mechanical Technician for 27 years. He was a NASCAR and #3 Dale Earnhardt fan. Grateful for having shared his life are 4 children, Craig, Marion, Christopher (Brenda), Sioux Falls, Shannon Peterson, Canistota, and Christina (John Jr.) Langrehr, Marion; 8 grandchildren, Allan, Megan, Ryan, Adam, Chelsey, Dylan, Izzabella, and Autumn; a great grandchild, Jayze; his mother Jane Calzo, Tucson, AZ; and 4 sisters, Theresa (Dale) Maki, Annandale, MN, Valerie Calzo, Jared Calzo, and Mary Petersen, all of Tucson, AZ. He was preceded in death by his father, wife Wilma, a brother John, a son Curtis, and a granddaughter, Summerann.
