Keith Henjum, 76, died Sunday, April 10, 2011 at the Sanford Hospice Cottage, Sioux Falls. Memorial service will be at 1:30pm Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at West Prairie Lutheran Church, rural Lennox with inurnment at the church cemetery. Arrangements by Hofmeister-Jones Funeral Home, Parker. Keith Allen Henjum was born at home on June 3, 1934 near Sherman, SD to Oscar and Lillian (Hustead) Henjum. After growing up in the Sherman area he served in the US Army and was involved in the Korean War. On October 4, 1958 he was united in marriage to Marlene Nelson at Luverne, MN. He worked as an electrician for many years until he was able to pursue his love of farming. He was a member of the Chancellor American Legion Post and the IBEW. After his retirement he pursued his passion and love of horses. Grateful for having shared his life are his wife Marlene; 2 daughters, Bonnie (Steve) Zimmerman, Lennox, and Tammy (Steve) Davenport, Colton; grandchildren, Stefani, Ethan, Travis (Amy) Zimmerman of Sioux Falls, Amber and Abby Davenport, Colton; and a brother, Bob (JoAnn) Henjum, Sioux Falls. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, Orpha and Bonnie, a brother Don, and an infant sister Ruth.
