Clinton Jerome Gunderson

Clinton Jerome “Joe” Gunderson, 84, died Monday, April 4, 2011 at Sanford USD Medical Center. Funeral services will be at 11:00am Friday, April 8, 2011 at St. John’s Lutheran Church with burial in Rosehill Cemetery, Parker. Visitation will be on Thursday with family present from 6-8:00pm at Heritage Funeral Home. He was born on Nov. 11, 1926 at Hurley, SD to Herman and Christine (Knutson) Gunderson. He graduated from Parker High School in 1944. On December 11, 1947 she was united in marriage to Dollie Irwin at Parker. He had been employed with the Sioux Falls School System at Washington High School and Howard Wood Field, retiring in 1990. His wife died in 2008. Grateful for having shared her life are his daughter Sherrie Trumble; a grandson, John Trumble and wife Kris; 2 great granddaughters Kate and Tasha; all of Sioux Falls; a brother Harold, Harlingen, TX; and sisters, Eunice Duerksen, Kay Wieman, and Lois Kramer, all of Marion.
