Dennis W. Hines, 75, died Friday, September 9, 2011 at his home. Memorial services and visitation will be from 3-5:00pm Saturday, October 1, 2011 at the Hofmeister-Jones Funeral Chapel, Marion. . Dennis William Hines was born on February 3, 1936 at Owatonna, MN to Lawrence “Bud” and Alice (Colson) Hines. After graduating from Owatonna High School in 1952 he served in the US Navy. He was a truck driver for Yellow Freight for 25 years. In 1988 he was united in marriage to Debra Johnson at Caledonia, MN. Grateful for having share his life are his wife Debra; 3 children, Kirk Hines, Owatona, MN, Kassandra (Mike) Nielsen, Faribault, MN, and Kristin Hines, Camdenton, Miss; 5 grandchildren, Jacob, McKayla, Fortune, Austin, and Riley; a sister and brother in law, Keinwin and Albert Ihnen, Marian, AZ; and a sister in law, Linda Thomason, Faribault, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, the mother of his three children Janice in 2010, and two brothers in law, Dennis Johnson and LaMonte Johnson.
