Russell S. Miller

Funeral Mass will be at 10:30am Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Marion with a prayer service to be said at 7:00pm Tuesday evening at the church. Russell Stephen Miller was born on January 6, 1942 in Minnehaha County south of Humboldt, SD to Willard and Mary (Konda) Miller. The family moved to Monroe in 1954 where he attended school and graduated from Monroe High School in 1960. For many years he had his own body shop in Monroe, worked for Lukes Implement and later Ludens Implement, and for Schwartz Manufacturing. He died on September 24, 2011 at the Tieszen Memorial Home in Marion. Grateful for having shared his life are two children, Scott Miller and Sherrie Calloway, both of Texas; a sister, Maryann (Melvin) DeBoer, Marion; two brothers, Raymond “Swede” (Linda) Miller, Sioux Falls, and James (Sandy) Miller, Monroe; and two grandchildren, Shannon and Shawn. He was preceded in death by his parents and two children, Scott and Shelly.
