Ruby L. Fogelman, 92, died Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at her home. Funeral mass will be at 11:00am Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Tea with burial in St. Ann’s Catholic Cemetery, Humboldt. Visitation with family present will begin at 5:00pm Monday at Heritage Funeral Home, Sioux Falls with a scripture service to be said at 7:30pm. Arrangements by Hofmeister-Jones Funeral Home, Parker. Ruby Lorraine Irvine was born on January 15, 1920 at Montrose, SD to Ralph and Nora (Phelps) Irvine. After graduating from Winfred High School she attended business college in Grand Island, NE. On October 6, 1948 she was united in marriage to Donald Fogelman at Hartford, SD. In 1963 they moved near Tea, SD where they started the Red Barn Campgrounds in 1976. She was the bookkeeper for the campgrounds and also for the Don Fogelman Construction Company. She was a member of the St. Nicholas Catholic Church and Alter Society in Tea, the Hartford American Legion Auxiliary, Mr. and Mrs. Dance Club, and the Good Sam Camping Club. Her husband Don died in 2002. Grateful for having shared her life are 6 children, Cheryl, Phoenix, AZ, Dale, Sioux Falls, Debra, Sioux Falls, Gregory (Pam), Tea, Brian (Dianna), Tea, and Mary (Joe “Brad”) Maddox, Sioux Falls; 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, Jim Irvine, Hartford, and Jerry Irvine, Sioux Falls; a sister, Marion Lawrence, Sioux Falls; a brother in law, Marvin Kroeger, Tea; close friends and neighbor, Patty Markley, Tea; special friends, Otto and MaryElda Stack; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant son Francis, and 2 brothers Sam and Gene.
