Evelyn R. Licht, 85, died Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at the Tieszen Memorial Home, Marion. Funeral services will be at 11:00am Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Grace Lutheran Church, Parker with burial in Rosehill Cemetery, Parker. Visitation will be with family present from 6-8:00pm Wednesday evening at the Hofmeister-Jones Funeral Home, Parker. Evelyn R. Wise was born on August 3, 1926 at Sioux Falls, SD to Fred and Crystal (Smith) Wise. She grew up at Parker and graduated from Parker High School in 1945. On June 27, 1947 she was united in marriage to Loyed Licht at Sioux Falls. They lived in Sioux Falls until 1961, moved to Aberdeen for 26 years and she moved back to Parker in 1987. She was employed by JC Penny until her retirement in 1987. Her husband died in 1983. She enjoyed her cats and gardening. Grateful for having shared her life are 2 children, Shelley (Kevin) Teal, Aberdeen and Larry (Kathy) Licht, Parker; 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
