David Daniel Wilson was born September 30, 1944 to David Andrew and Leona Mae (Wheeler) Wilson in Des Moines, Iowa. Dan died at his home in Parker, SD after a lengthy illness. Danny started life in Iowa and attended school at East High. He also served for two years in the Vietnam War as a combat photographer. When Dan returned he married Marilyn Prentice with whom he had three children, Shannon Lee (Roger) Peters, Gilmore City, Iowa, David Andrew, Spirit Lake, Iowa, and Shawn Kelly, Mitchell, SD. In the mid 70’s Danny moved to Rapid City, SD and dealt antiques. Holidays were very important to Dan and on February 14, 1996 he was united in marriage to Judy Eileen West at Parker, SD. Together they raised his step-children, Robert David “JR” West, Sioux Falls, Kenneth Lawrence Dahl, Parker, SD and Amanda Jolynne Dahl, Sioux Falls, SD. “Two Can” Dan loved animals, antiques, country music, football, movies, and playing games. However, he spent the majority of his life and thoroughly enjoyed perfecting the art of “Wheeling and Dealing.” Dan is survived by his wife, children, brothers Harold, Harley, Ronald, Paul, and Edward, all of Iowa; 15 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, and an infant daughter Lisa Mae.
