Sarah Ibis

Sarah Ibis, 93, died Sunday, March 2, 2008 at the Tieszen Memorial Home, Marion. At her request her body is being donated to science and no services will be held. Sarah Sturzenbecher was born on Jan. 30, 1915 near Dolton, SD to Albert and Anna (Ortman) Sturzenbecher. She grew up in the Bridgewater, SD and Buffalo, NY areas. She was united in marriage to Richard Ibis. They had a son Clifford. They lived in Huron, SD and Minneapolis, MN. Her husband died in 1976 and her son died in 2003. In 2002 she became a resident of the Tieszen Memorial Home. Survivors include 4 half brothers, 2 half sisters, and many nieces and nephews , most who live in other states. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, brother Alfred, sister Elsie Johnson, a half brother, and a half sister
