Arthur C. Berg was born on July 28, 1920 near Marion to Cornelius and Eva (Sperling) Berg. He attended school at Marion and served in the Army Air Corps during WW II. On April 6, 1947 he was united in marriage to Ellen Jones in the First English Lutheran Church, Parker. They owned and operated the Parker Paint Store for 28 years. Art enjoyed woodworking, cards, gardening, and traveling in his spare time. He was a member of the First English Lutheran Church and the American Legion. Grateful for having shared his life are 2 daughters, Charlene and her husband Mick Turner, Parker and Dianne and her husband Dr. Mark Vanderbilt, Pittsburg, PA; 4 grandchildren, Chris, Amy, Erica, and Kally, and 5 great grandchildren, Zackery, Hannah, Myah, Marina, and Cameron; a brother Vern Berg and his wife Connie, Sioux Falls; and a sister, Grace Grimm, Sacramento, CA. He was preceded in death by his wife Ellen in 1997, son Lynn, and a brother Reuben.
