Lorraine Ketcham

Lorraine Ketcham, of Parker, SD, died unexpectedly in her home on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at the age of 82. Funeral services will be at 10:30m Monday, June 3, 2013 at the First English Lutheran Church, Parker with burial in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation with family present will be 5-7:00pm Sunday at the Hofmeister Jones Funeral Home, Parker. Lorraine was born on May 16, 1931 on a farm near Monroe, SD, to parents William and Martha Graack. She was baptized at Wellington Lutheran Church and maintained a strong Christian faith throughout her life. She was united in marriage to Arvin Ketcham at First English Lutheran Church in Parker, SD on September 3, 1950. They were married for 62 years. She had many talents and devoted her life to caring for and helping others. She was a founding member of the Parker Ambulance Service, and served her community as an EMT for 20 years. Her love and devotion to her family and friends will always be remembered and treasured. She is survived by her husband Arvin, sons Clayton (Kathy) of Choteau, MT, Greg (Judy) of Sheldon, IA, Brian (Lisa) of Omaha, NE; daughters Karlyn of Sioux Falls, SD, Laurie (Roger) of Tea, SD, Lisa (Jack) of Vermillion, SD; twelve grandchildren: Mark Ketcham, Kelly Ketcham, Teri Schuster, Kristen Daugherty, Shannon Sanderson, Lindsay Ketcham, Nick Ketcham, Bailey Ketcham, Megan Ketcham, Kelsey Ketcham, Weston Parsons, Alex Parsons; fourteen great grandchildren, two special sisters-in-law Phyllis Graack and Bert Ketcham, several nieces and nephews, and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Martha Graack, two brothers Vernon Graack and William Graack, and five sisters Marie Weier, Mabel Keill, Alice McKillop, Josephine Haase, and Della Miller. In leiu of flowers memorials may be directed to First English Lutheran Church.
