Hurley. Linda Kay Paulsen, 61, died Sunday, September 29, 2013 at Sanford USD Medical Center, Sioux Falls after a long fought battle with chronic obstructive lung disease. Funeral services will be at 1:00pm Thursday, October 3, 2013 at the Hofmeister Jones Funeral Chapel, Hurley with burial in the Hurley Cemetery. Visitation with family present will be from 6-8:00pm Wednesday at the Hofmeister Jones Funeral Chapel, Hurley. Linda Kay was born on July 4, 1952 at Sioux Falls, SD to Merlin and Dorothy (Hankins) Larson. She grew up at Hurley and graduated from Centerville High School. She served in the Army. On September 29, 1972 she was united in marriage to Jens Paulsen at Yankton, SD. Over the years she worked as a seamstress and worked at various places including K-Products, Showplace Cabinets, and Fireball Industries. She had a great love for her grandchildren. Grateful for having shared her life are her husband Jens; 3 children, Jess (Melissa) Paulsen, Montrose, SD, Tina Paulsen, Hurley, SD, and Lars (Bobbi) Paulsen, Hurley, SD; 8 grandchildren, Cyrene Paulsen, Dylan Paulsen, Destiny Paulsen, Celest Paulsen, Nicholas Paulsen, Christian Paulsen, Lincoln Paulsen, and Myka Paulsen; a brother Duane (Sonie) Larson, Sioux Falls, SD and a sister Charlotta (Steve) Hagenbuch, Charlotte, NC; and was a MA to many.
