Ingrid Louise Martinson Mellegaard

Ingrid Siert Martinson Mellegaard, 65, died Thursday, October 9, 2008 at Sanford USD Medical Center, Sioux Falls. Funeral service will be 10:00am Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at Calvary Reformed Church, Monroe with burial in Rosehill Cemetery, Parker. A Prayer Service will be said at 7:00pm Monday evening at the church. Visitation will be from 9-5:00pm Monday at Hofmeister-Jones Funeral Home, Parker. Ingrid Louise Siert was born on December 17, 1942 at Sioux Falls, SD to Harold and Ann Siert. She attended Hawthorne Grade School in Sioux Falls and graduated from Chinook High School in Chinook, MT. She attended Southeast Vo-Tech for truck driving and worked as an over the road trucker. In 1960 she married Don Martinson. She has been employed by Hatch Pharmacy, worked as a nurse’s aide, and for the past 6 years at Deb’s Mini Mart. On October 9, 1984 she was united in marriage to Eugene Mellegaard at Parker. Ingrid had a love for her kids, for life, and to sew and knit. She was a member of Calvary Reformed Church and had been a member of the Sweet Adelines. Grateful for having shared her life are her husband Eugene; 3 children, Rod (Marcia) Martinson, Desoto, MO, Alan (Linda) Martinson, Dittmer, MO, and Wayne (Anna) Martinson, Mitchell; 2 step children, Michelle Mellegaard, St. Louis, MO and Timothy (Beth) Mellegaard, St. Charles, MO; 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; a brother Eric Siert, Granite Falls, MN; and 2 sisters, Michelle Siert, Madison and Nickole (John) Wrage, Marion. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, a sister, and a grandson.
