Parker. Elsie Finn, 93 died Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at the Tieszen Memorial Home, Marion. Funeral services will be at 10:30am Friday, October 31, 2014 at the First Baptist Church, Parker with burial in Rosehill Cemetery, Parker. Visitation will be from 6-8:00pm Thursday evening at the Hofmeister Jones Funeral Home, Parker with a Prayer Service at 7:30pm. Elsie L. Finn was born on March 3, 1921 near Parker, South Dakota to Louis and Amanda (Peterson) Finn. She grew up in the Parker area and graduated from Hurley High School. She lived on the farm with her brothers until 1994 when she moved into Parker. She has been a lifelong member of First Baptist Church where she was baptized in 1934. She loved the outdoors, flower and vegetable gardening, volunteering at the Parker Senior Citizens, television game shows, and loved to read and work on crossword puzzles. Grateful for having shared her life are nieces, nephews, and special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Laura, and 4 brothers, Maurice, Ward, and twins Leonard and Louis. Memorials maybe directed to the First Baptist Church or the Union Gospel Mission.
