Parker. Fred Plucker, 72, died Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at the Sanford Hospice Cottage, Sioux Falls. Funeral services will be at 10:30am Saturday, November 22, 2014 at the Chancellor Reformed Church with burial at Germantown Cemetery, Chancellor, SD. Visitation with family present will begin at 5:30pm Friday at the church with a Prayer Service and time of sharing at 7:30pm Friday evening at the church. Arrangements by Hofmeister Jones Funeral Home. Frederick Arthur Plucker was born on May 6, 1942 near Chancellor, SD to Henry "Hank" and Paula "Polly" (Siekmann) Plucker. He grew up in the Chancellor area where he graduated from Chancellor High School in 1960. On January 10, 1964 he was united in marriage to Donna Griebel at Monroe, SD. They farmed and lived north of Chancellor. They moved into Parker in 2006. He was also the owner of Adams & Dougherty Livestock Commission Firm and a member of the Sioux Falls Stockyards Exchange for over 35 years. He was a member of the Chancellor Reformed Church where he was an elder and Sunday School teacher, a past member of the Parker School Board, Home Township Moderator, and member of Par Mar Valley County Club and the Turner County Stock Club. Grateful for having shared his life are his wife Donna; 2 children, Ross (Lynn), Chancellor and Jennifer (Alan Petersen), Parker; 2 grandchildren Derrick Getty and Justin Plucker; a great grandson, Blake Getty; and a sister in law, Diane Wentzel, Chancellor. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Thad Allan Plucker in 1977, and a brother Eldon. Memorials maybe directed to Cancer Research or to the Parker Amubulance Fund.
