Montrose. Gary Lindstrom, 44, died Friday, November 21, 2014 at Rochester, MN after a long battle with leukemia. Funeral services will be at 11:00am Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Montrose United Methodist Church, with burial at Center Lutheran Cemetery, Salem. Visitation will be with family present from 5-7:00pm Monday at the church with a Prayer Service at 7:00pm Monday evening at the church. Gary Lee Lindstrom was born on June 12, 1970 at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD to Lawrence and Marilyn (Spade) Lindstrom. He grew up near Parker where he graduated from Parker High School in 1988. After attending Mitchell Vo-Tech he worked for a time as a diesel mechanic. On March 17, 2001 he married Tori Fisher at Salem, SD and to this union 3 children where born, Koltan, Jake, and Paislee. He worked on ethanol plants in Illinois, Indiana, and Iowa with North Central Construction. He currently has been employed with Haug Steel as a millwright foreman for the past 15 years. He was a member of the Montrose United Methodist Church and was an avid outdoorsman. His first love was spending time with his children. Grateful for having shared his life are his children, Koltan, Jake, and Paislee; his mother Marilyn (Harlan) Hansum, Montrose; a brother Jeff, Sioux Falls; and 2 sisters, Tammy (David) DeJong, Rapid City, and Julie (Kent) DeJong, Lennox.
