Connie Gross

Connie Gross, 58 went home on Wed, Dec 31, 2014, after a difficult battle with cancer. Funeral mass will be at 10:30am Saturday, Jan 3, 2015 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Marion. Prayer Service/Rosary will be said at 7:00pm Friday evening at the church. Arrangements by Hofmeister Jones Funeral Home. She was born on August 5th, 1956 in Sioux Falls, SD to Roland amd Caroline Gross of rural Parker. She married Daryl Ensz on January 21, 1978, and together had 2 sons. Nicholas (Kristi) Ensz of Sioux Falls, and Tony Ensz (Erika Knode) of Yankton. She had 1 brother Gene (Gayle) Gross of rural Parker, and 2 sisters, Joann Preheim (Owen Bittner) of Marion, and Mary (Bob) Hageman of Tea. She had 2 grandchildren, Sarah and Michael Ensz of Sioux Falls, whom she loved very much, and enjoyed spending weekends with on the farm. In addition, she had 9 nieces and nephews, and 10 great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Roland Gross. Connie had many interests, including family history, kayaking, motorcycling, gardening, and spending time outdoors. Connie was very grateful for the life she was given, and filled it with the things she enjoyed. She learned there were only 24 hours in each day, and what she did with that time was her choice and no one elses.
