Dale L. Jibben

Dale Jibben, 65, died suddenly at home Wednesday, December 17, 2008 from an apparent heart attack. Visitation will be from 1-3:00pm Sunday, December 21, 2008 at Hofmeister-Jones Funeral Home, Parker with a service at 3:00pm followed by burial at the Chancellor Reformed Cemetery. Dale Leroy Jibben was born on May 2, 1943 near Davis, SD to Thomas and Hattie (Johnson) Jibben. For 31 years he was employed by John Morrell and Co. and Hutchinson Technology for 10 years, retiring in 2005. He had lived in Brandon and recently moved from rural Centerville to Chancellor. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing cribbage. Survivors include his special companion Teresa McMullen, Chancellor; 2 daughters, Marla (Rick Burnham) Jibben, Portland, OR and Marti (Tom) Berndt, Brandon; 3 grandchildren, Shelbie, Devin, and Sidney; 2 aunts, Ann Johnson, Sioux Falls and Steena Jacobs, Bridgewater; and brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter Mari Kenison.
