Ruth Ann Nielsen Marion. Ruth Ann Nielsen, 65 died Friday, May 15, 2015 at the Tieszen Memorial Home, Marion. Visitation with family present will be from 7-8:00pm Friday, May 22, 2015 at the Hofmeister Jones Funeral Chapel, Marion with a Memorial Service at 7:30pm. Ruth Ann Rohlck was born on August 14, 1949 at Luverne, MN to Oreland and Irene (Mann) Rohlck. She was raised on a farm three miles north of Hardwick, MN where she attended grade school. After graduating from Luverne High School she was united in marriage to Curtis Nielsen on June 8, 1968 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Hardwick, MN where she was also baptized and confirmed. They lived a short time in an apartment in Luverne before moving to the Rohlck family farm north of Hardwick. Ruth and Curt had two daughters, Lisa and Beth. In 1972 they moved to Luverne where they both worked at A.R. Wood Manufacturing. Ruth also did home care and was a custodian at the high school. They enjoyed the outdoors, going camping and fishing as a family. Ruth loved to cook and her daughters, nieces, and nephews remember the delicious fudge she would make for them. Ruth loved to roller skate. She met Curt, her husband to be at the Hiawatha Roller Rink in Pipestone, MN. She has been a resident of the Tieszen Memorial Home since January of 2012. Her husband Curt died in 2013. Grateful for having shared her life are 2 daughters, Lisa Hoyme and Beth Husman; grandchildren Cassie and Carrie Hoyme, Devin and Mylee Vietor, Seth Anderson, and Racheal Husman; a brother Roger (Verna) Rohlck and a sister Carol (Bill) Braa; and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Curt.
