Gordon Cink, 73, died Saturday, February 14, 2008 at Good Samaritan Village in Sioux Falls. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00am Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at St. Therese Catholic Church with burial with military honors at St. Christina Catholic Cemetery, Parker. Visitation will be with family present from 6-8:00pm Tuesday at Heritage Funeral Home with a Liturgical Wake said at 7:00pm. Memorial may be directed to the St. Therese Capitol Campaign or to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Gordon Paul Cink was born on August 3, 1935 at Parker to George and Ruby (Douty) Cink. After graduating from Parker High School in 1953 he attended Southern State College in Springfield. He served in the US Army and was stationed in Korea. On June 6, 1992 he was united in marriage to Dorene Menzel at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls. He farmed near Parker until 1992 when they moved to Sioux Falls. He was a past member of St. Christina Catholic Church, Parker and a present member of St. Therese Catholic Church, Sioux Falls. Grateful for having shared his life are his wife Dorene; 4 brothers, Derald (Janice) and Alvin (Dee), both of Sioux Falls, Don (Millie), Blaine, MN, and John, Parker; and 2 sisters, Margaret Bohner, Sioux Falls and Mary Miller, Parker; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Raymond, and an infant brother.
