Janice Loof, 77, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, September 14, 2015 at the Tieszen Memorial Home, Marion. Funeral services will be at 10:30am Friday, September 18, 2015 at Calvary Reformed Church, Monroe with burial in the Monroe Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-4pm Thursday at the Tieszen Memorial Home Chapel, Marion and from 5-7pm at the Calvary Reformed Church, Monroe with a Prayer Service at 7:00pm Thursday evening. Arrangements by Hofmeister Jones Funeral Home. Janice Lorene Langrock was born on a country farm in McCook County, SD to Harold and Angeline Langrock on November 7, 1937. Educated in country schools and graduated from Monroe High School in 1955. She dated her high school sweet heart (Bob) and true love of her entire life and they married on June 7, 1956. They purchased their farm and farmed for 47 years, after that time they semi-retired and moved to the town of Marion, SD. The Lord blessed them with two beautiful children, Kevin and Julie. Janice accepted the Lord as her personal Lord and Savior at age 10 and has been a lifelong member of Sandham (Calvary) Church in Monroe. She was a children's Sunday school teacher for over 50 years and involved in children's programs and has always loved kids. She served as president of the Tieszen Memorial Nursing Home Auxiliary in Marion for 20 years and had a special passion for that project. Thank you to the Tieszen Memorial Home in Marion for their great care over the last four weeks. Grateful for having shared her life are her husband Robert (Bob); her two children Kevin (Evelyn), daughter Julie Janssen; four grandchildren Jennifer Fahrni, Josie Janssen, Robert E. Loof, and Katie Loof; and her very, very special great grandson and her entertainer, Carsten Fahrni; her brother Ralph (Aryss), sister-in-law Darla Bartels and friend Loren; several nieces, nephews, and special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. In lieu of flowers memorials maybe directed to Calvary Reformed Kids Club Program.
