Leonard G. Harms, 76 died Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at the Lennox Good Samaritan Center. Funeral services will be at 11:00am Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the Chancellor Reformed Church, Chancellor with burial at Rosehill Cemetery, Parker. Visitation with family present will be from 5-7pm Friday at Hofmeister Jones Funeral Home, Parker. Leonard G. Harms was born on October 12, 1939 near Chancellor, SD to Herman and Olive (Rector) Harms. After attending District #20 Country School he worked as a farm hand for many years for several farmers in the area. He and his mother moved into Turner Village in Parker where he lived for many years before becoming a resident of the Lennox Good Samaritan for the past couple of years. He also worked for many years at Heritage Park in the Turner County Fairgrounds in Parker. He was a member of the Chancellor Reformed Church. Grateful for having shared his life are 3 brothers and sisters, Ray (Joretta) Harms, Lennox, Lorene DeNeui, Chancellor, and Earl (Linda) Harms, Stroudsburg, PA; a sister in law, Lily Harms, Beresford; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Kenneth, and 2 sisters, Marjorie Burma and Harriet Dressman.
