Lois L. Kraemer, 87 of Parker died Friday, April 22, 2016 at the Tieszen Memorial Home, Marion. Funeral services will be at 10:00am Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Grace Lutheran Church, Parker. Visitation with family present will be from 6-8pm Monday evening at the church with a time of sharing at 7:00pm. Visitation will also be held from 3-4pm Monday at the Tieszen Home Chapel in Marion. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister Lois Leone (Gunderson) Kraemer was born June 9, 1928 to Herman and Christine (Knutson) Gunderson on the family farm west of Hurley. Lois graduated from Hurley High School in 1946. Lois was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She was blessed to be a charter member of Grace Lutheran Church of Parker. As a young woman she was employed at The New Era until her marriage to Max Kraemer in 1952. They made their home at Union Center, rural Humboldt. Lois was a devoted wife and a kind and loving mother to her children and extended family. She also enjoyed handwork, dress-making and quilting. Lois was an excellent home-maker and family and friends enjoyed her delicious cooking and baking. Although the last few years were difficult for Lois, she was lovingly cared for at the Tieszen Memorial Home in Marion. Those left to cherish her memory are son, Steven and wife Jan of Marion; their children Bryan and wife Heidi of Marion, Kyle and wife Marie, Ava and Addison of Lino Lakes, MN; daughter Kristen and husband Terry Smart of Lyons, SD and their children Erin and husband Jason Mitzel and Max of Crooks, SD and Eric Smart, Canton, SD. Siblings are Kathryn (Kay) Wieman, Eunice Otto Duerksen, Harold Gunderson and wife Shirley and Sister-in law Helen Gunderson. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Max, siblings Harvey, Russell, Marvin, Lee and Jerome. Lois is most remembered for her quiet and gentle spirit.
