Rose Tieszen

Rose Tieszen, 87, died Thursday, June 11, 2009 at the Tieszen Memorial Home in Marion. Funeral services will be at 2:00pm Monday, June 15, 2009 at the Bethesda Mennonite Church, rural Marion with burial in the Tieszen Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday with the family present from 6-8:00pm at the Hofmeister-Jones Funeral Chapel, Marion. Rose Ensz was born on November 24, 1921 in Turner County, SD to John D. and Kate (Dick) Ensz. She was the ninth child in a family of ten. She grew up near Marion where she attended school. On January 16, 1945 she was united in marriage to Martin Tieszen at Marion. They farmed near Marion their entire life. She was a member of the Bethesda Mennonite Church and was involved in Christ Coworkers. Since July of 2008 she has been a resident of the Tieszen Home. Grateful for having shared her life are her huband Martin and son Ray, Marion; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Donald in infancy, and 9 brothers and sisters.
