Phyllis Graack, 91 of Parker died Thursday, December 22, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Village in Sioux Falls. Funeral service will be at 10:30am Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at First Baptist Church, Parker with burial at Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation with family present will be from 5-7pm Tuesday at the church with a Prayer Service at 7:00pm. Arrangements by Hofmeister Jones Funeral Home. Phyllis Irene Lechner was born on October 13, 1925 near Parker to Wesley and Nettie (Beier) Lechner. She grew up in the Parker area and graduated from Parker High School in 1943. After receiving her teaching certificate from Sioux Falls College she taught country school in rural Turner County. On October 1, 1950 she was united in marriage to William "Bill" Graack at the First Baptist Church in Parker. In 1965 they moved to the Lechner family farm where she has since resided. Her husband Bill died in 1999. She was a member the Pattern Pals Extension Club, and lifelong member of the First Baptist Church, active in White Cross and the ABC Women's Group. Grateful for having shared her life are her two daughters, Twila (Larry) Oostra, Sioux Falls and Treva (Tim) Casper, Lake Preston, SD; 4 grandchildren, Amanda (Craig) Gordy, Aric (Nikki) Oostra, Chase Casper and Cole Casper; 5 great grandchildren, Addison, Cayden and Aslynn Gordy, and Remington and Jax Oostra; 2 brothers in law, Arvin Ketcham, Parker and Ralph Scholl, California; and a number of nieces and nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bill, a brother Robert, and a sister Nyla Jean Scholl.
