Steven C. Friman, 52 died Sunday, July 2, 2017 at the VA Medical Center in Sioux Falls. Funeral mass will be at 10:00am Thursday, July 6, 2017 at St. Christina Catholic Church, Parker with burial at the church cemetery with full military rites. Visitation will begin at 6pm Wednesday evening at the church with a Scripture Service to be said at 7:00pm. Steve C. Friman was born on November 14, 1964, the youngest of Friman 10 children. He grew up at Parker where he graduated from Parker High School in 1983. He entered the US Army on August 23, 1983 and served his country until November 1, 1995 when he retired due to health reasons with the rank of Staff Sergeant. He moved back to the Sioux Falls where he volunteered countless hours at the VA Medical Center and was always there for his three children. Grateful for having shared his life are 3 children, Randee Friman and grandson Ryder, Berryville, VA, Kylee (Jimmy) Cohoon, Rock Rapids, IA, and Dillon Friman, Sioux Falls; and 9 brothers and sisters, Kathy (John) Overby, Yankton, Dr. Tom (Linda) Friman, Fair Hope, AL, Wendy (Royce) Madsen and Clark (Julie) Friman, all of Sioux Falls, Linda (Alan) Drefke, Casper, WY, and Barb Johnson, Doug (Libby) Friman, Deb (Bob) Masters, and Anita (Tom) Koller, all of Parker.
