Orville R. Mammenga

Orville Mammenga, 63, died Saturday, October 10, 2009 at Sanford USD Medical Center. Funeral services will be at 1:30pm Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at First Reformed Church, Monroe with burial in the Monroe Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday at Hofmeister-Jones Funeral Home, Parker with a prayer service at 7:30pm Monday evening. Orville R. Mammenga was born on June 9, 1946 at Sioux Falls, SD to Jake and Grace (Viet) Mammenga. He grew up in the Monroe area and attended country school. He was employed by Terminal Grain for 19 years, Schoeneman Lumber for 11 years, and the Turner County Highway Dept. for 5 years. He was a member of the First Reformed Church, Monroe. He enjoyed horse riding and riding his motorcycle. Grateful for having shared his life are his mother Grace, Marion; a brother Maurice, Sioux Falls; and a sister Geraldine (Walter) Lauck, Mitchell; and many nieces and nephews.
