Gail Ray Lange was born on July 9, 1938 to Ray and Vera (Bondsen) Lange near Hurley, SD. He graduated from Hurley High School in 1957. He served in the US Army from 1963 until 1965.
He spent the early part of his life traveling the country as an independent cable splicer. He was then hired by Dakota Telecommunications where he retired in 2003.
Loving retirement, he spent his winters in Laughlin, NV where he enjoyed playing poker. During the summer he enjoyed gardening, fishing, and building woodworking projects at the shop. One of his greatest joys was cooking whether it was for a crowd or canning salsa.
Grateful for having sharing his life are his children Stephanie (Tim) Buckstead, Kristi (Jody) Schroedermeier, and Brad (Tisha) Lange; 9 grandchildren Alissa, Dylan, Gunnar, and Zane Buckstead, Bryce, Evan, and Paige Schroedermeier, and Sophia and Griffin Lange; one great-grandson Olyver Stewart; and numerous friends.
