Terry M. Berens Parker. Terry Berens, 38, died Sunday, January 10, 2010 at Sanford Health from a massive heart attack. Funeral services will be at 1:30pm Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at Grace Lutheran Church, Parker with burial in Rosehill Cemetery, Parker. Visitation will begin at noon Tuesday at the Hofmeister-Jones Funeral Home, Parker with family present from 6-8:00pm. Terry Merle Berens was born on October 16, 1971 at Freeman, SD to Merle and Margaret (Poppenga) Berens. After graduating from Parker High School in 1990 he worked for various companies and was employed at P&M Steel in Sioux Falls for the past 12 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, playing darts, and was a Dale Jr. fan. Grateful for having shared his life are his children Kyle and Megan; his mother Margaret (Larry) Rand, Parker; his sisters Jane (Harvey Jr.) Hertle and Dawn (Paul) Muller, all of Parker; and grandparents, Gunda Poppenga, Lennox and Marlyn and Caryl Rand, Marion. He was preceded in death by his Dad, Merle in 1986, and grandparents Heiko Poppenga, and Ed and Helen Berens.
