Michael Dale Olson, Jr.

Michael Dale Olson Jr., age 47, of Marion, SD passed away at his home on Saturday, November 10, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Tasha Judd Olson. Funeral services will be at 1:00pm Friday, November 16, 2018 at First Church of God, Marion, SD. Visitation will be from 5-7pm Thursday evening at the church with a Prayer Service at 7:00pm. Arrangements by Hofmeister Jones Funeral Home. Mike was born in Anoka, MN on March 10, 1971 to Michael Dale Olson, Sr and Suzan Greenwood. Mike and Tasha met while working together at Gateway in Sioux Falls. They were married in Las Vegas, Nevada on April 16, 2005. Mike and Tasha, along with their girls, moved to Marion in 2013. They are well known for always having open doors and a house filled with people- mostly those under 18. Mike had a special ability to connect with the kids that entered their doors no matter their age and enjoyed created nicknames for those that spent time in their home. Mike had a passion for hunting and fishing and being outdoors. He found joy spending time with his girls and sharing his passion with them. Grateful for having shared his life are his wife Tasha; his four children, Brandon Clyne, Genevieve Olson, Alysiah Olson, and Annaliese Olson: his mother Suzan Greenwood, Arco, MN; his father Michael Dale Olson, Sr, Sioux Falls; a brother Randy Olson, Marion; and a sister Mariah Eske, Sioux Falls. He is preceded in death by his sister Elizabeth Olson and step-mother, Dawn Olson. Mike loved his family well and will be missed.
