Donald W. Scott, 86, died Saturday, March 27, 2010 at Sanford USD Medical Center, Sioux Falls. Funeral services will be at 10:30am Thursday, April 1, 2010 at the First Presbyterian Church, Parker. Visitation will be on Wednesday evening from 6-8:00pm with family present at the Hofmeister-Jones Funeral Home, Parker. Donald W. Scott was born on April 23, 1923 at Parker, SD to Floyd and Grace (Farr) Scott. He grew up in the Parker area and graduated from Parker High School in 1942 as the class valedictorian. He farmed and did trucking in the Parker area for 46 years. On April 28, 1976 he was united in marriage to L. June Otten Berens. They lived on the farm before moving into Parker. June died in 2003. Grateful for having shared his life are 2 brothers, Jim (Joyce) Scott, Arizona City, AZ, and Willis Scott, Parker; nieces and nephews; 5 step children, Rodney (Linda) Berens, Platte, Jeff (Lisa) Berens, Chancellor, Kim (Dawn) Berens, Parker, Gail (Darrel) Ihnen, Parker, and Tad (Brenda) Berens, Sioux Falls; and several step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
