Howard Seaman, Jr., 50, passed away Friday, May 21, 2010 at the Avera McKennan Hospital, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. Funeral services will be at 1:30pm Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at the Chancellor Reformed Church, Chancellor, SD. Visitation will be on Tuesday at the Hofmeister-Jones Funeral Home, Parker, SD with family present for 7-9:00pm. Howard Seaman, Jr. was born on March 16, 1960 in Somerville, NJ to Howard and Cecilia (Rohrich) Seaman. Howard was extremely close to his parents. He was his mother’s son, but Howard and his dad were not only father and son, they were best friends. He attended grade school in Hampton, NJ and graduated high school from North Hunterton Regional in 1978. After receiving a degree from Drafting School in Richfield, MN he worked as a draftsman in Jamestown, ND. On May 4, 1984 Howard was united in marriage to Denise Meyer at Jamestown, ND. They moved to Sioux Falls, SD in 1985 where they started their family and then on to Parker, SD in 1998 where they personally developed their acreage. For the past 15 years he has been employed as a draftsman for Pivot Power, Sioux Falls, SD at the Tea exit. He enjoyed watching NASCAR racing, attending car shows, riding motorcycle, and driving the street rod he built. Howard was a man of few words, but he touched many hearts. Grateful for having shared his life are his wife Denise; two children Katie and Jared; two grandchildren Dylan and Kalli; his parents, Howard and Cecilia Seaman, Strasburg, ND; a brother Edwin (Stephanie) Seaman, Linton, ND; and two nephews, Liam and Conner; as well as other family and many friends.
