Randy Covert

Randal L. Covert, 47, died on Monday, July 12, 2010 at Parker. Funeral services will be at 10:00am Friday, July 16, 2010, 2010 at the United Methodist Church, Parker with burial at 3:00pm in Assumption Catholic Cemetery, Merrill, Iowa. Visitation will be Thursday at the Hofmeister-Jones Funeral Home, Parker with family present from 6-8:00pm. Randal Leroy Covert was born on May 3, 1963 at LasVegas, NM to Jerry and Margaret (Bauler) Covert. They lived in New Mexico before he moved with his family to Humboldt while he was in grade school. In 1982 he graduated from West Central High School. On March 2, 1996 he was united in marriage to Dawn Kueter at Las Vegas, NV. He was the owner and operator of Emerald Lawn Care. He enjoyed playing pool, golf, riding motorcycle, sports, coaching softball, and spending time with his family and grandchildren. Grateful for having shared his life are his wife Dawn; 3 children, Nikki (Robert) Bauerle, David Kueter, and Amanda Covert; 2 grandchildren, Danica Bauerle and Ryan Brown; 5 brothers and sisters, Terry (Wanda) Covert, Liberal, KS, Melvin Covert, Centennial, CO, Yvonne (Sammy) Lopez, Mora, NM, Mike (Becky) Covert, Sioux Falls, and Jim (Deana) Covert, Lincoln, NE; and several nieces and nephews.
