Madalon Faulken

Madalon Faulken, 80, died Thursday, August 26, 2010 at the Tieszen Memorial Home, Marion. Graveside services will be at 3:00pm Saturday, August 28, 2010 at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Sioux Falls. Arrangements by Hofmeister-Jones Funeral Chapel, Marion. Madalon Ethel Chilson was born on May 5, 1930 at Roberts County, SD to Roy Chilson and Alma (Grinde) Chilson. In April of 1959 she was united in marriage to Wendell Faulken at Luverne, MN. They lived in Sioux Falls before moving to Monroe in 1980. She owned and operated Maddy’s in Monroe for many years. Grateful for having shared her life are her husband Wendell; a daughter Wendy (Terry) Lape, Marion; a son Ronald Faulken, Marion; 2 grandchildren, Travis Lape and Tiffany Lape; a sister, Verdella (Keith) Brown, Monroe; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and 3 sisters.
