Mary Graber, 92, died Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at the Holy Spirit Retirement Home in Sioux City, IA. Funeral mass will be at 10:30am Friday, October 1, 2010 at St. Christina Catholic Church, Parker with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday at Hofmeister-Jones Funeral Home, Parker with a Scripture Service followed by the rosary to be said at 7:30pm Thursday evening at the church. Mary Frances Mins was born on September 27, 1918 at Parker, SD to Lawrence and Elizabeth (Fanning) Mins. After graduating from Parker High School in 1936, she worked as a telephone operator in Parker. On October 16, 1941 she was united in marriage to Phil Graber at St. Christina Catholic Church, Parker. Mary and Phil were blessed with 6 children. Mary was a member of St. Christina Catholic Church, where she was baptized and confirmed, the Altar Society, Catholic Daughters of America, and the VFW Auxiliary. Mary’s family and faith were the most important part of her life. Her husband Phil died in 1988. Grateful for having shared her life are her children, Robert (Lynda), Corte Madera, CA, Richard (DedaRae), Austin, MN, Mary (Dennis) Lokken, Sioux City, IA, Jane (Daryl) Fletcher, Elk Point, John (Jill), New Castle, CO, and James, Parker; 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; and a sister in law, Ruby Whealen, Parker. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother William.
