Diane Wentzel, 67 of Chancellor, passed away on February 6, 2019 at Avera McKennan Hospital after a lengthy illness. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, February 11, 2019 at the First Church of God in Marion. Visitation will held from 5:00-7:00 PM Sunday, February 10, 2019 at the Hofmeister-Jones Funeral Home in Parker with a Prayer Service starting at 7:00 PM.   Diane Marie (Griebel) Wentzel was born March 14, 1951 at home in Monroe, SD, to Lester and Gertrude Griebel. She grew up in Monroe and graduated from Marion High School in 1969. She received an Airline Reservations and Ticketing diploma from Weaver Airline School, Kansas City, MO in August 1969. She spent most of her life as a stay at home mom raising her children. She retired from Stan Houston where she worked as a receptionist from 2007 to 2016. She was united in marriage to Roy J Wentzel on June 20, 1970 until he passed in May 2004. In 2009 she met Antone M LeBeau. She enjoyed being a part of his family as they love her dearly. Together, they enjoyed traveling to art shows, gardening, camping and fishing. One of her favorite places was Antone's home on the river. Her children and grandchildren were very important in her life. She enjoyed getting together with them; around a campfire, a picnic, and the holidays and whenever possible. She always looked forward to making memories on the "Gert's Girls" trips. Grateful for making memories are the love of her life, Antone, her children Rochelle & Chad Nowstrup, Madison, Ranee & Todd Van Gelder, Beresford, Roxane & Jason Berens, Parker, and Reg Wentzel, Parker; 8 grandchildren Dexter, Valorie, Holly, Beau, Emily, Brianna, Levi and Teegun; her best friend and sister Donna Plucker and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Rhonda Marie and her parents.
