Kelly Deelstra

Kelly Deelstra, 60 of Canton, formally of Parker, passed away on July 14, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. Memorial Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM Friday, July 22, 2022 at the Community Building in Parker. Arrangements provided by Hofmeister-Jones Funeral Home.

Kelly Lee (King) Deelstra was born on November 2, 1961 to Leland and Linda (Harmon) King and grew up in Longmont, Colorado. Her three boys Louis, Robert, and Michael were also born and raised there until 1986 when she married Ron Deelstra. They moved to Parker, SD where she settled to raise her family as a stay-at-home mom. Kelly enjoyed raising her boys and all the friends that they brought home. Everyone called her “Mom”. Kelly also loved her pets! She bred Boxers and Boston Terriers but also had pigs, a lamb, chickens, ducks, pheasants, parrots, and iguanas over the years. She loved her three English Mastiffs that were by her side until the end. Kelly was so proud of her boys and the men that they became. Her nine grandchildren were her pride and joy! She was blessed to have Ron in her life to help her raise their boys and always be there to take care of her.

She is survived by her husband Ron; children Louis of Hills, MN, Rob (Amanda) of Sioux Falls, and Mike (Sara) of Parker; grandchildren Oliver, Layla, Emma, and Olivia Deelstra of Hills, MN, Griffin, Greyson, and Greeley Deelstra of Sioux Falls, Lincoln and Avery Deelstra of Parker; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Kelly was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
