Marge Zins, 93, died February 18, 2019 at Pioneer Memorial Nursing Home in Viborg S.D. Margaret Elizabeth Becker was one of 10 children born to Louis and Anna Becker of Browerville on January 16, 1926. Funeral services for Marge will be held on Friday, February 22, 2019, 11:00 a.m., at Christ the King Catholic Church in Browerville with Fr. Tom Becker and Fr. Mitchell Bechtold officiating. Interment will be held at Christ the King Catholic Cemetery in Browerville. While working as a young woman Marge met and married war veteran Francis Zins in 1948. She settled into homemaking and together they raised four children, Mary, Joan, Larry and Diane in Brooklyn Center. The couple worked hard and loved spending vacations in the Browerville area with relatives. As the children grew up Marge enjoyed working in senior health assistance at St. Therese in New Hope. In retirement years she and Francis owned lake property on Mons Lake where they got snowed in often but enjoyed the beautiful summers. Francis loved fishing but it never really caught on for Marge. When those idyllic days were over, they headed back to the cities and to the new St. Therese Senior Living facility in Brooklyn Park where she made many friends and lost Francis in 2011. She remained there near Joan and Diane until 2017. After daughter Mary’s retirement she moved to South Dakota where Mary had more time to spend with her. She entered the Viborg nursing home in October 2018. Great grandma Marge will be missed; she was a beautiful lady with a generous and feisty spirit who loved the Lord, dancing and playing cards. Marge is survived by daughters: Mary Griffin, Lennox, SD, Joan (Jerry) Sirois, Brooklyn Park, and Diane (Don) Mason of Maple Grove; nine grandchildren: Stephanie Smit, Melissa Daugherty, Charlene Sumlin, Heather Noble, Mike Sirois, Joe Hart, Jon Hart, Brett Mason, and Alex Mason; great grandchildren: Dexter Smit, Lane Smit, Katie Daugherty, Will Daugherty, Andrew Daugherty, Alex Kueker, Tim Headly, Kyle Headly, Carly Headly, Courtney Sumlin, Shelby Sumlin, Jackson Sumlin, Joey Sumlin, Brennen Keller, Beckett Hart and Kyler Hart; siblings: Ken Becker and Clara Johnson.
