Terry Ensz

Terry Ensz, 61, of Faith, South Dakota passed away in his home on Wednesday, August 19 ^th , 2020. Funeral Service will be at 10:30 AM Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at Bethesda Mennonite Church, rural Marion. Visitation was held Friday, August 21, 2020 from 4:00-6:00 PM at the Faith Memorial Chapel in Faith, SD.

He was born on July 8 ^th , 1959 at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Terry graduated from Marion High School in 1977. He married Roxane Gravelle of Canistota South Dakota on August 19 ^th , 1978. While in Marion, he worked for Farmer’s Coop Elevator, the Evangelical Good Samaritan Society of Canistota, while managing the Broadway Inn Motel with Roxane. He was a proud volunteer firefighter for many years. He also loved farming with his father and running a dairy north of Marion. Some of his favorite work stories came from doing heating and air conditioning with his twin brother Tim. Terry and Roxane moved to Faith, South Dakota in 2006 to manage the Prairie Vista Inn, later becoming owners with his brothers Tim and Ron in 2010.

Terry loved the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved metal detecting and fixing nearly anything. He had the ability to make the best of many situations with his enthusiasm and sense of humor. He loved to tease his nieces and nephews whenever he could. He was always happy to jump in and help out family, friends, and complete strangers when he could.

He is survived by his wife Roxane (Gravelle) Ensz, sons, Adam and Carrie (Duncan) Ensz, Kevin and Jennifer (Russell) Ensz, daughter, Amanda Ensz and her fiance Shawn Pullman, grandchildren Achaius and Urijah Lentini, Lincoln and Kyla Blakley, brothers, Daryl and Roxane Ensz, Ron and Paula Ensz, Tim and Laurie Ensz, Arlan and Lisa Ensz, Debra (Ensz) Noess, Julie (Ensz) and Doug Decker, as well as many nieces, nephews, and good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Lester and Loretta (Miller) Ensz, and brother-in-law Wayne Noess.

A visitation will be held at the Faith Area Memorial Chapel in Faith, SD on Friday, August 21 from 4 to 6 p.m., with a Funeral Service and Burial following in Marion, SD the following week.
