John D. Misterek

John Misterek, 60,Marion and formerly of Harrold, died Friday, April 18, 2008 at his home from complications of diabetes. Funeral Services will be on Thursday, April 24, 2008 at the Luze Funeral Home, Highmore, SD. Burial will be in Medicine Hill Cemetery, Harrold, SD. John David Misterek was born on April 9, 1948 with twin brother Joe at Pierre, SD to John H. and Leona (Miller) Misterek. He grew up at Harold where he graduated from Harrold High School. After graduating from South Dakota State University in Brookings with a BS degree he worked in the ag industry. He was a sheep shearer for many years. Survivors include 4 daughters, Josie (Rich) Benz, Sioux Falls, Angie (Rich) Barnett, Augusta, KS, Paige Misterek and Jahne Misterek, both of Dickinson, ND; a stepson, Ryan Kenjalo, Harrisburg, SD; 3 grandchildren; a sister, Kathi Owens, Wichita, KS; and 4 brothers, Dick, Blunt, SD, twin Joe, Lincoln, ND, Tom, Pierre, SD, and Tim, Harrold, SD. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Chuck.
